Congratulations to our Golden Stars this week.
We were lucky enough to be able to welcome professional beat boxer 'Crumpets' from Noise Academy to our school today as part of our wider music curriculum.
Years 1-6 enjoyed a performance which including some seriously complicated beats and rhythms before having the chance to have a go themselves in an exciting masterclass. Even the staff had a go!
We look forward to improving our skills as we continue our work with Noise Academy in the coming weeks.
We were flying high at Colsterworth Primary School this week as a group of our key stage two pupils were invited to face their fears taking part in outdoor adventurous activities at PGL in Caythorpe.
As part of their wellbeing learning, the pupils all worked to develop confidence, courage and team work skills as they took on the giant swing and Jacob’s ladder climbing challenges.
Wellbeing lead Mrs Cornish said “The pupils were full of enthusiasm for the day, everyone took on a role supporting each other and the joy on their faces when they completed a challenge was amazing to see - what an experience! “
Our year 3 and 4 pupils were treated to an immersive RE learning experience on Monday as they travelled to the Bibles Times event at Market Overton.
The afternoon of learning began with an in depth look at the life of Jesus supported by actors playing key roles from the bible. Following this engaging start pupils were able to take part in a range of activities aiming to deepen their understanding of the times Jesus lived in, including dressing up, food tasting and a challenging quiz. The children thoroughly enjoyed learning in such a hands on way and gained so much understanding from the different activities.
Well done to all of our Golden Book children this week.
