Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Well done everybody.
Year 3/4 Tigers had a wonderful visit to Flag Fen Archaeological site to enhance their knowledge of prehistory, specifically focusing on the Stone Age. They had great fun examining artefacts, exploring houses and creating beautiful clay pots and rock art. The sun shone and the children enjoyed working and learning outdoors- they represented the school brilliantly and their newfound knowledge will definitely help them with in class learning.
Leopard Class recently took part in a fun DT lesson all about pizza. We learned about where pizza originally came from and discussed the difference between processed and unprocessed foods. The children then created their own pizzas, choosing tasty toppings such as mozzarella cheese, ham, olives and mushrooms. After cooking, everyone enjoyed tasting and evaluating their pizzas. Next, the children took on the challenge of designing the ultimate pizza – and the Leopard Class had some super suggestions. Delicious!
Golden Time was bursting with creativity as the children enthusiastically took part in designing and creating beautiful Easter cards for the local parish church Easter card competition.
Using pastels, paint and watercolours, the children carefully sketched their ideas before transforming them into vibrant, eye-catching designs. From thoughtful symbols of Easter to bright spring scenes, each card was filled with imagination, colour and wonderful attention to detail.
The standard of artwork was truly impressive, and the children should be very proud of the effort, care and creativity they demonstrated throughout the project.
Well done to everyone who took part – your hard work really shone through!
