The Nativity - Wow! That was very special indeed.
Tue 10 Dec 2024Kittens and Bobcats have worked so hard and been so motivated to learn lines, songs and stage directions and then on Tuesday 10th December they put it all together and sang, spoke and performed with such confidence - it was phenomenal.
A massive well done to all our sparkling Angels, cosy by the fire Shepherds, grazing Sheep, 3 independent female Kings, helpful Servants, trusted Camels, thoughtful Innkeepers and their Wives (who absolutely knew what to do in an emergency!), fierce Soldiers, our shining Star, scary Herod, strong Guards and finally our Mary, Joseph and their Donkey. Without them all showing courage and perseverance ‘The Nativity’ would not have shone as brightly as it did.

Choir Sing for Light Switch On
Fri 06 Dec 2024Our fabulous choir was once again asked to perform at the village light switch on. There was a super turn out from families and friends and the children lit up the church with their joyful singing. Well done to all.

The Nutcracker's Tale: Hope and Joy Under the Christmas Tree
Tue 26 Nov 2024The Christmas Tree Festival at St Wulfram’s Church, Grantham, is a cherished annual event that brings together the community to celebrate the awe and wonder of Christmas. The church is transformed into a magical space filled with beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each one uniquely decorated by local schools, businesses, and community groups. This special tradition is a wonderful opportunity to share joy, creativity, and the spirit of Christmas with the wider Grantham community.
This year, our school participated with a theme based on the classic tale of The Nutcracker as part of the Let’s Create After School Art Club and the National Opera House Primary School project. The children created 'take care' artwork inspired by the story’s magical characters and scenes, showcasing their talents and bringing the festive theme to life. The story of The Nutcracker reminded the children of the key Christian values—hope, love, friendship, and courage—which resonate deeply during the Christmas season.
What a lovely way to start our school's preparations for Christmas!

My ‘SMART’ Achievement of the Week
Tue 26 Nov 2024Well done to Iris in Year 1 who has completed her Learn to Swim level 2, her Duckling Stage 3 & 4 and even swam a whole 5m to gain her Rainbow Distance Award.

The Chairs are on Strike!
Mon 25 Nov 2024What a shock we had this morning when we walked in to find that all of our chairs had gone on strike! Our hardworking furniture had had enough - they were unwilling to fulfill their role and provide support for us any longer.
Their arguments included being swung on, drawn on, being made grimy by food and dirty fingers and even being subjected to the unsanitary smells and vibrations caused by us, their prime users.
We thought long and hard about what we could do to convince the chairs to come back and decided that the only way was to write them a letter persuading them to return to work.
All of our pupils had a go, from the very youngest in EYFS to our Year 6 VIPs. We offered to clean them, push them in when we leave the classroom and to not swing on them as they much prefer to be on all four legs than only on one!With much persuasion and heart-felt promises, eventually the chairs agreed to work for us again. Hopefully, we have done enough to prevent this from happening again!
