Junior Road Safety Officers have the ‘wow’ factor
Last week the Junior Road Safety Officers met with Andy Hall from Lincolnshire County Council and were eager to start their official Road Safety training. The children received their work booklet, badges, certificates, and Stay Safe bag.
This led perfectly into the launch of Road Safety week. The Junior Road Safety Officers planned and led a wonderful collective worship based on the theme of ‘Safe Roads for All,’ with the highlight being the launch of the much anticipated annual poster competition.
Road Safety Week is an important event to remind children of how to stay safe on the roads. We have been impressed by the children’s ideas and thoughts on how to stay safe and promote road safety.
Our Junior Road Safety Officers, are excited to continue their campaign of keeping their school community safe throughout the rest of this academic year.
The Junior Road Safety Officers, certainly have the Colsterworth ‘wow’ factor.
We were so proud to be able to announce that seven of our children have placed in the Willoughby Memorial Trust Art Competition.
Three have been awarded first place and the other four were awarded highly commended in their age groups.
All seven have been invited to a prize giving on Friday 25th November.
Congratulations to all of our Golden Book children this week.
Our children have been working so hard over the last term. Twenty- one children have today been awarded their Bronze Dojo Certificate for achieving over 100 dojo in our first term back in school. Well done to all of them and keep up the good work.
