Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Congratulations to our Golden Book children of the week
We have had an adventurous term in “Anything Can Happen Club” the children are always so excited and enthusiastic! We all love the spontaneity of our club, one idea can lead us to anywhere and anything! We have had fun scavenger hunts outside, we’ve created some super land art. We had a fantastic time experimenting with balloons and beads which lead to a loud vortex instrument and we definitely did NOT make water balloons to get Mrs Bevan wet!!
The Wellbeing Warriors have been spreading kindness around the school this week!
They led a wonderful collective worship based around the story ‘One little dot’ before challenging the school to find individual kindness dots in their classroom and help them to grow.
Kindness has been spotted blooming around the school and even the teachers have been joining in, each receiving their own kindness gift from the wellbeing warriors.
Watch out for kindness growing around your home!
Well done to all of our Golden Book children this week.
A special mention to the whole of Year 6 who have supported each other and showed resilience and perseverance during SATs week.
Our Key stage 2 Well-being warriors led the way with this week through their Well-being Wednesday collective worship. After sharing the beautiful story of the ‘hugging tree’ with the school, they discussed the importance of resilience in our lives before challenging the children to think about times they have found tricky and who has supported them. The children then worked within their classes to complete a reflection activity allowing them to tick off the C for character building task on their #Healthy, happy, active challenge card. What a wonderful chance to think about how to faces challenges together.
In Year 5 this week, we have enjoyed creating our Peter Thorpe inspired Art pieces. We loved letting our creative juices flow to draw, mix colours and wow!
Congratulations to all of our Golden Book children this week.
What a performance! Class 3G thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity of welcoming their parents and carers into school to watch our class assembly. The assembly was based on Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes, which takes well known fairy tales and gives them a twist. After a class vote, the children decided to perform the gigantic musical version of Jack and the Beanstalk. In this musical telling of the rhyme, Jack is not only lazy, but also rather smelly! He may live happy in the end, but the same cannot be said for Mum! We are incredibly proud of the children for their amazing acting, super singing and 'can do' attitude they all displayed in preparation for this assembly. A huge well done Class 3G.
