• Perfect Pesto Pasta Time!

  Pupils at Colsterworth Primary School were in full restuarant mode this week as they were joined by chef Darren from Roots to Food. Drawing together their science learning and a focused healthy eating week, pupils from year 1 to 6 donned their aprons and chef hats as they prepared their own Italian pasta dish. Polishing their cutting, marinating and searing skills, the children learnt how to create their own healthy meal and worked in small teams to do just that on Wednesday 19^th April. The halls of the school were filled with the mouth watering smells of chicken, basil and tomatoes as each group took their turn to cook and most importantly taste their vegetable filled pasta dish. Smiles were a plenty as both children and teachers tucked in.
