Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
It was lovely to be able to award fourteen members of our Year 6 bubble with their Bronze Dojo Award today. They have worked hard during this first term earning dojos for reading, homework and being all round super stars!
We look forward to seeing children from our other bubbles following in their footsteps in the next few weeks. Maybe we'll even see a few Silver Awards being handed out before the end of Term 2.
2B were challenged to use junk modelling to create a vehicle linked to people who help us. Great work 2B!
At Colsterworth all the children have a voice and are involved in developments at the school. Class councils are held regularly to discuss and agree what the children want their Student Councillors to do. Their ideas are then taken to the School Council which meets once a month. We are members of the School Councils UK.
Representatives are elected each year for our Student Council. They meet once a term or every six weeks to talk about projects they are leading or things children at our school want to change or introduce.
Usually we focus on the time of year for a fund raising project.
Our new Student Council had their first socially distant meeting today and we look forward to hearing from them in the next few weeks.
Thanks to Reverend Neil, we were still able to hold our wonderful Harvest Festival service in Church. Children from Year 1 to 6 attended at intervals throughout the day for their own service in their 'bubbles.' Our Reception children held their own Harvest Festival in their classroom in school, but also got to be a part of the service by watching the video link.
Alongside the community, the children are still able to donate to the Grantham Food Bank as the church is open throughout the day. It is amazing to see that even in such different times our children are dedicated to being ‘Agents of Change’.
