  • Our Golden Book Winners of the Week!

    Mon 14 Oct 2019
Well done to all of our Golden Book children. You have shown us how you use and apply our Christian Values and 3R's in your day to day life at school and at home. You definitely have the Colsterworth WOW Factor.
  • Lister Class show Respect and Reverence at Beth Shalom Holocaust Centre

    Fri 11 Oct 2019

Today Lister Class were incredibly lucky to go back in time and immerse themselves in some truly devastatingly emotional times-World War 2. We learned
all about a young Jewish boy called Leo and his battles against antisemitism and the discrimination of certain people. We investigated the events of that awful night on the 9th November 1938 - Kristallnacht- The Night
    Of Broken Glass.

Our children showed great compassion and maturity in their learning and a great depth of knowledge about the topic. Their Colsterworth WOW factor was evident in the respect that they showed to the staff, each other and to the visit as a whole.

  • Agents of Change!

Wed 09 Oct 2019 Louise Jordan

Following on from our Harvest Festival donations the school received a certificate to thank them for their contributions.

Reverend Neil said This is a wonderful effort made by all the children and is clearly very much appreciated by the Foodbank, and by those who receive the food from them.’

Our amazing children really are Agents of Change!

  • Our Harvest Festival

Tue 01 Oct 2019 Louise Jordan

Our Harvest Festival was a celebration and a chance to give thanks. We said thank you to the farmers for their hard work and thank you to God for sending the sun and the rain. We linked our Harvest celebration to our Christian Values of 'creation' and 'perseverance.' We celebrated gathering food, vegetables, crops, fruit and the harvest of the sea.

We also gave our thanks to Reverend Neil for inviting us into the Church, and this reminds Christians of all the good things God gives us and helps us to share with others that are not so fortunate.

Our Harvest offerings this year were donated to the Grantham Food Bank. The children were so proud that their contributions were making a positive impact on someone's life and that because of this they were an agent of change.
