Colsterworth Primary School was once again buzzing with the excitement of another World Book Day where children and adults alike have the opportunity to spend the whole day celebrating a love for reading. From Willy Wonka to Harry Potter, all the children were dressed to impress and even a Tyrannosaurus Rex made an appearance!
The children were treated to extracts from the teacher’s favourite stories and then spent time visiting each other’s classrooms to share stories.
Mrs Croxall, Year 6 Teacher and English lead said, ‘It has been wonderful to see the whole school bursting with enthusiasm for World Book Day! As teachers, we naturally try to promote a love of reading throughout the year, but World Book Day is always an extra special opportunity for everyone to come together and enjoy their favourites!’
