Children in Reception and Year 1 recently enjoyed taking part in our Family Learning sessions alongside their grown-ups. Over the course of two sessions, families came together to explore the importance of healthy habits in a fun and engaging way. In the first session, children created their own “edible plates,” learning about balanced diets and making healthy food choices. This week, they completed their learning by focusing on safe food preparation skills. The children practised careful cutting techniques before making a delicious yogurt, cucumber, and mint dip, served with neatly prepared pepper and carrot sticks. It was wonderful to see the children and their families learning together, building confidence, and developing practical skills to support healthy lifestyles at home.
