Year 5 took their audience on a thrilling journey back in time this morning to Ancient Greece in their class assembly, "It's All Greek to Me!". The immersive performance transported spectators to a world of gods, myths, and legendary events, bringing history to life in a captivating and educational way.
The assembly unfolded as a time-travel adventure, with students acting as school children who stepped through a magical portal into the ancient past. Along the way, they encountered famous Greek figures, witnessed the birth of the Olympic Games, and even played a role in the dramatic events of Aesop's Hare and the Tortoise! The energy and enthusiasm of the performers made every scene feel like a moment frozen in time.
Pupils donned tunics and laurel wreaths, embracing their roles with passion. One particularly exciting moment featured Jack as Mrs Plato with her lunch trolley!
The assembly concluded with a a lively Greek-inspired musical number "Hard As Nails", leaving the audience both entertained and enlightened.
