Year 6 experience Remembrance Live on-location

On 11th November, Year 6 joined Mr Dilly’s History Live on-location at The D-Day Story Museum, Portsmouth for a special Remembrance Day 2025 event — exploring why we remember the Second World War and the people who lived through it. 

🎖️ This featured:

🔴Exclusive access inside The D-Day Story Museum — artefacts, stories and the remarkable Overlord Embroidery

🔴The historic Landing Craft LCT 7074 — the last surviving D-Day tank carrier

🔴Mr Dilly’s VE Day 80 short film — performed in character, bringing to life key WW2 moments from the Blitz to Victory

🔴Special studio guest: Award-winning author Tom Palmer (After the War, Arctic Star, D-Day Dog. Resist)

 

This was a fabulous opportunity to learn more about WW2 on this very special day.
