The Leopard Class stepped back in time for a spectacular Partake History Workshop, led by the brilliant Steve from Partake History. Our young historians journeyed to medieval Britain for a full day of hands-on learning and fun!
The day began with toys and games from long ago before the children became budding apothecaries, discovering how herbs were once used to make medicines — and even creating their own cures!
After break, they examined a fascinating collection of mystery artefacts, using their detective skills to uncover what each object was used for. Following lunch, the children tried their hand at illuminating letters for the Lord of the Castle and experienced writing with a real quill pen.
To finish the day, Steve introduced them to armour and weaponry from the time of castles and knights — even letting two brave volunteers try on real chainmail!
It was a truly unforgettable day of history brought to life — full of curiosity, creativity, and excitement!
