Arts Ambassadors

At Colsterworth Primary School, our Art Ambassadors play a vital role in promoting the arts with enthusiasm and pride. They are motivated pupils who represent pupil voice, sharing ideas that help strengthen our art curriculum and the creative experiences offered in school. Art Ambassadors also develop important leadership skills and communication skills, confidently meeting visitors, discussing our art provision and supporting a wide range of school, local community and national arts projects.

Their roles include:

• attending regular Arts Council meetings to share pupil voice

• meeting and communicating with visitors about our art curriculum

• modelling and sharing projects taking place in school by contributing to collective worships

• assisting staff with whole-school art competitions

• supporting school, local community and national arts projects

• maintaining tidy and organised classroom art areas

• encouraging pupils to care for resources and clean equipment properly

• assisting teachers and contributing ideas in art lessons

• gathering feedback from their class and presenting it at meetings

Our Art Ambassadors show commitment, motivation and high aspirations in everything they do. They help lead creative initiatives, support arts-based events and play an active part in ensuring that the arts—art, music, drama and dance—continue to flourish at Colsterworth Primary School. Their enthusiasm and dedication make them excellent role models who help keep creativity at the heart of our school.

Willoughby Art Competition

Across the school, our talented artists have been hard at work preparing entries for the Willoughby Open Art Competition in Corby Glen. From our youngest pupils to our oldest, creativity has been flowing through painting, clay, pastels, sketching, and even printing techniques!

  • Tiger Class took inspiration from their Ancient Egypt topic to produce stunning Egyptian-themed artwork.
  • Leopard Class channelled their medieval knowledge into striking mixed-media pieces.
  • Our After-School Kids’ Club explored printing to design beautiful seasonal scenes.
  • And during Golden Time, several budding artists created enchanting works inspired by The Lost Words.

Well done, Team Colsterworth — you have truly shown that you have the Art WOW Factor!
